CM Khandu launches state’s website

The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu on Tuesday launched the State website www.arunachalpradesh.gov.in at IG park on the occasion of 71st Independence day in presence of Chief Secretary, Dignitaries, Govt officers and public.
The website has a fresh, contemporary look and is easier for citizens to navigate. Website improvements also include clarifying content and adding consistent navigation at each page header. In addition, the new format is compatible with mobile and tablets by automatically reformatting to the device being used. The site now accommodates persons with a range of hearing and vision disabilities.
Prince Dhawan, (IAS) Special Secretary IT gave presentation on the new state portal. He explain the importance of state portal and need of such site where all the important Government orders tender, gazettes, gazetteer, notification and department links are available. He also explain the new features of the website.
The website is helpful in finding latest Govt. news and update. All the gazettes will be made available in here. The contact details of all important officers are listed in state portal. For researcher and students, the Digitized copy of Gazetteer are made available. Citizens can know about CM Flagship schemes and can avail it. Businessman can check tender section for latest tenders.
The Chief Minister highly appreciated the Department of IT & C on its performance in field of Digital India initiative for Arunachal Pradesh. CM congratulated Sonam Chombay ,Secretary IT for the successful launch of the website. The CM sought Govt. Department to access benefit from state portal. The state portal sums up whole Arunachal into single window access.
