Rupa Electrical Division, Executive Engineer (E) Tapi Tai appeal the consumers under his jurisdiction including Bhalukpong, Thrizino, Kalaktang, Rupa, Singchung etc to get their power service connection properly and pay the outstanding dues to remain connected or face disconnection.
EE, Tai inform that Special Revenue Realization Drive in the entire state is being carried out from all the categories of consumers having outstanding revenue amount of Rs. 1,000.00 and above.
Rupa Electrical Division has already started the drive from 16/08/2019 at various areas. Since the drive is to be carried out rigorously.
He inform that door to door revenue collection has also taken up, we are also giving on the spot delivery of Electrical Service Connections, while regularization of illegal hooking / unauthorized consumers to check energy pilferage.
After the above mentioned activities are carried out in the field, the Department of Power shall carry out disconnection of Electrical Service Connections of default consumers as per Indian Electricity Act 2003 for non responsive consumers, disconnection of illegal hooking / unauthorized consumers, check, assess energy theft case and confiscation of materials used for electrical services of default consumers, theft of energy / illegal hooking. EE said.
First Information Report (FIR may also be filed against the violator Indian Electricity Act 2003 supply code / regulations etc if situation warrant. He added.
Bhalukpong AE (E) VK Chhetry inform that total revenue realized during the door to door drive under Bhalukpong electrical sub division in Tippi and Bhalukpong area in three days from December 2nd to 4th are around Rs, 12 lakhs while 78 line has been disconnected so far.
