AAPSU women wing visits changlang schools

The All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union Women Wing led by its president Rosy Rangai today paid a visit to two schools in Changlang and interacted with the students.
On their visit to GHSS, Headquarter Changlang, the team organized an awareness drive on quality education, drugs, alcohol and early marriage. They also conducted career counselings in the school.
The principal of the GHSS apprised the team of problems and grievances faced by the schools and placed a few point for consideration.
The principal informed the team of a shortage of teachers for class XI and XII in Economic, Political Science and Hindi respectively. They were also appraised that the senior students are being taught by Junior Teacher.
Taking cognisance of the problems, the APPSU Women Wing has sought for immediate recruitment of teachers for the above mentioned subjects.
“We are also being told that there is an irregular sanctioned of sports kits,” Rangai added.
Later on the day, the team also organised one day awareness camp on quality education and girl’s health at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Changlang. They also distributed sanitary pads and donated food supply for the school.
The team also took noted of the school’s grievance regarding poor road condition and electricity connectivity.
President Rangai spoke on length on the quality education. She motivated the girls to aim for achieving higher status in the society and asked them to make their parents and state proud by doing good and notable things.
Begia Mepu, APPSU Woman wing convener also spoke on Girls’ Health and Hygiene emphasizing on the menstruation and reproduction health.
Both Rangai and Mepu were also joined by Vikash Dada, Member of Research and Documentation Cell APPSU.
