The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) participated in the informal meeting of the Governors, preceding the Conference of the Governors, at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi on 22nd November 2019.

The Governor called for a review of the ‘Table of Precedence’ which was issued on 26th July 1979. He said that with the march of time, creation of new ranks and posts, changing National and International priority dynamics and the old Commonwealth Protocol losing much of its meaning, many old acceptances have become ‘lose fit’ and this calls for a Study for recommending the Revision to the President of India.

The Governor emphasised the need for a Study Group which can go into the details and recommend appropriate corrections and revisions.

Later in the evening, the Governor and his wife Mrs Neelam Misra attended the High Tea hosted by the President of India Mr Ram Nath Kovind and the First Lady Mrs Savita Kovind on the East Lawn, Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.
