Ravinder Gaur visits CBSD and RTC Sites

Directorate of Science & Technology Member Secretary cum Scientist, Govt. of India, Er. Ravinder Gaur today visited Kimin on Friday to take stock of the situation of the area earmarked for establishment of Rural Technology Centre (RTC) and Centre for Bio Resource and sustainable development of Bio-Technology (CBSD) of which foundation stone laid by Union Minister Science & Technology, Government of India Dr. Harsh Vardhan.
Gaur said that there were 7 demo project of hydro Power Project in different parts of state of which 6 are completed and commissioned while one at urijo is under construction and inspected to be commissioned in 2018 sharply. These demo project have been created of which it would be beneficial to the rural people and requested the department concern to take up for the issue so that the power supply is given to the villagers and benefited by the technology.
He said that the state council have been doing its work and there are more to do. He said that Union Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan have laid foundation stone for construction of the RTC is being set up to demonstrate the cost effective rural technologies, impart vocational and hand on training for skill development of rural, development of local enterprise and providing market linkage to the rural entrepreneurs which will help in the social and economic upliftment of the rural population.
CBSD is being set up with the objective of sustainably utilizing the immense bio resources of the state and creation of state of art facilities for supporting biotechnology research in the state. We have to provide technology and lab support to centre and before the infrastructure need to be created by the dept of Bio-technology.
He said that the proposal and DPR need supporting documents with facts and figures and map etc and directed the official of the Directorate of Science & Technology Dr. Mohanto to immediately provide the full proof DPR to the ministry for immediate approval.
He also said that he shall also inform the Bio-Technology deptt for early consideration of the project at Kinim and assured his full support for the state.
APSCS & T Chairman Bamang Mangha while said that the two important project of which the foundation stone have been laid by the Union Minister on 22nd December 2016 at Kimin and the project is yet to get its clearance from the centre and requested the visitor to immediately pursue the matter in the Ministry and subsequently directed the officials to send the other relevant documents at the earliest.
Director of Science & Technology C.D. Munguak, Jt. Director cum Project Director (S & T) Dr. Debajit Mahanta, Jt. Remote Sensing and Application Centre Liagi Tajo, Deputy Director P. Lombi and S.R. Khochey other officials and Scientists and Research Officers among other also visited the site along with the team.
