Likha Major Inspired with Pul’s Humanitarian Act and Donate Rs 10 Lakh to CMRF

Inspired by the humanitarian act of the Chief Minister Kalikho Pul specially to the needy people in hour of difficulties through the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund  (CMRF ), former Chairman of Arunachal Pradesh State Rubber Board and the State Level Vigilance Committee of Civil Supply Department, Likha Maj has contributed a sum of Rs 10 Lakhs towards the CMRF . He handed over a cheque of Rs 10 lakhs to the Chief Minister in Chief Minister’s Office today.

 This is a reflection of the impact of Chief Minister’s Relief Fund is making in the life of the people particularly in regard to Medical Assistance which is being hailed and appreciated by all sections of the society across the state.

 While praising the noble gesture of Maj, Chief Minister Pul said that it is for the first time that an individual is voluntarily contributing some amounts towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He said that the CMRF is being utilized on genuine cases for humanitarian service to the actually needy people. He appealed to the like minded people to come forward and contribute to the CMRF for the better cause.

 Likha Maj while handing over the cheque to the Chief Minister Pul said, “he was deeply inspired and touched by the gesture of the Chief Minister who personally visits the patients in hospitals, meet the victims and their relatives besides providing financial assistance through CMRF and personally console the people when they need it most, which he could have also done by simply giving orders sitting in his office chamber”.  He adds, “it is for the first time that we have seen a chief minister of the state who can understand and reach out to the people during difficult times. I personally felt to contribute something, though small and be a part of this humanitarian service”. He further said, “since the state through its resources has given me so much in life, the amount is in return to the state on humanitarian feeling”.
