Team Arunachal, represented by two-time Raid de Himalaya winner Lhakpa Tsering and ace navigator Venu Rameshkumar, will take on the likes of international rallyist Gaurav Gill and multiple Desert Storm winner Sunny Siddhu in the Rally Desert Storm 2019.
The five-day rally was flagged off from New Delhi on 7 May, and will altogether cover a grlling 2500 kms in total.
“It is an honour for me to be a part of this event and somewhat represent the state in this extreme sport, and this year has the most quality line-up of the best rally drivers of the country,” said Tsering.

The Desert Storm is one of the three prominent cross-country rallies in India and the only one to take place in the gruelling Thar Desert in Rajasthan.
This year’s event, spread across four legs, will comprise 600km of special stages in addition to 900km of transport sections. The first leg, which will run for 158km, will begin in Bikaner on Wednesday, before the teams travel to Jaisalmer for the remaining three legs.
