Kokrajhar- Wushu championship concludes

The two days long programme and 13th Wushu championship of Kokrajhar District Association concluded on Sunday at Kokrajhar Govt. High Secondary & MP School in Kokrajhar.
Rajen Singh Superintended of Police Kokrajhar attended as a chief guest in the conclusion of 13th Wushu championship Kokrajhar District said that the many sports talented youth are finding here in BTC region in various sports disciplines.
He said that the sports games have been making health also healthy and talented sport star has many opportunity to reach higher and higher and make shine the nation State and as well region.
Jajnabati Basumatary CHD (BTC) sports and youth welfare and who is also president of Wushu Kokrajhar District Association said that they have organised two days of 13th Wushu championship to select talented youths from Kokrajhar to participate inter district Wushu competition will be held at Baksa in the month of July.
She said that over 150 participants from different clubs of Kokrajhar district participated in the championship.
Basumatary said that there are huge budding sports’ talents in the district and championship programme organising is giving sporting space to show case their talent and calibre.
She also said that many talented youths have been playing in various sports discipline from BTC region and as much as possible sports department has been extending and supporting sports persons.
She said that best team goes to Dotma Wushu club and second prize runners up SAI Kokrajhar and best fighter goes to Jilir Narzary SAI Kokrajhar in the 13th Wushu championship which was held at Kokrajhar MP & HS playground.
Birdao Mushahary Dotma got gold in below 65kg, Mithisar Brahma Dotma got silver and Amit Barman and Anusta Basumatary choraikola and Jainary got bronze. SP Kokrajhar Rajen Singh and Jajnaboti Basumatary distributed prizes to all winners along with certificate.
