Itanagar police warned stern action against defaulters of number plates in vehicle

Itanagar police today warned stern action against defaulters of number plates fitted in different colour, category and design and even vehicle without number plate.
In the run of vehicle checking which have been intensified by the capital police since last mint have been trying their best efforts in maintaining traffic rules and imposing fines and challaned hundreds of vehicle so far.
Today the traffic checking was launched on number plate and vehicle without number plate. 8 vehicle were fined while 2 challaned and sent to court.
Itanagar SDPO Hanyir Techi, OC Tabi Bage and SI RK Jha, N. Angu among other police personnel and traffic police of Itanagar police station participated in the drive.
The drive was itself an eye-opener for other vehicle owners as the police personnel were seen making awareness and campaigning for use of correct number plate and warned one and all those who do not adhere to the traffic rule and would face stern action very shortly and such drive shall continue and vehicle will be impounded Hanyir said to this daily.
