The Apex body of Monpa Community Monpa Mimang Tsogpa (MMT) on Thursday, 17th of October 2019 adopted Govt. Higher Secondary school, Jang. This is in compliance of chief minister Pema Khandu’s advice to the CBOs to do so. CM Pema Khandu in his address during 1st foundation day celebration of Monpa Mimang Tsogpa at Khalaktang on 13th of September last adviced the CBOs to adopt Government Schools for its better functioning, and similarly on 11th October MMT unit Dirang adopted Hr.Sec School Dirang in presence of MLA Dirang Phurpa Tsering, and we are in a process to adopt Govt Hr. Sec School Khalaktang also, informed president MMT Rinchen Dorjee.
The formal adoption programme at Jang Hr.Secondary today was attended by I/C DC Tawang Lobsang Tsering ADC, Lobsang Wangchu ADC Jang, Rinchen Dorjee President MMT, DR Wangdi Lama Vice President MMT, PD DRDA Tawang Lobsang Tsetan, DDSE Tawang Hridhar Phuntsok, all the COs under Jang sub division, Parents public leaders and general public. The principal Jang Hr sec. School along with teaching staff and students gave warm reception to all.
Speaking on the occasion Rinchen Dorjee President MMT said, Knowledge speaks and wisdom listens, so we should listen to our elders. School is a temple of learning and with our combined efforts we all should contribute to increase the sanctity of this temple. Inner wisdom and selfless work towards the upliftment of society should be our priority. Parents should play their role more actively and shouldn’t leave the education to their children in school only. Education means all round development and we have to educate our children in social conduct and moral and family values besides bookish knowledge.
I/C DC Tawang Lobsang Tsering, congratulated the MMT and School fraternity for the noble cause and addressed the students and teachers saying Education empowers us, the sole motive of getting education doesn’t means getting a white collared job, parents should pay more attention towards the all round development of their children. Teachers are the role model for students, no one remembers who the administrator was during his school times but they never forget their good teachers throughout their life.
Other speakers on the occasion were, DDSE Tawang Hridhar Phuntsok, Jt,Secy MMT Jang Pema Gombu, Dr. Wangdi Lama, Lobsang Tsetan and ADC Jang Lobsang Wangchu Bapu. The formal programme ended with President MMT Rinchen Dorjee reading out the declarartion of adoption of Govt.Hr.Sec.School Jang by MMT.
