Arunachal: Man caught with heroin in Banderdewa
Itanagar Capital Police arrested a drug peddler from Banderdewa area and recovered 52 grams heroin from his possession.

Banderdewa Police nabbed one Drug peddler with 52.25 grams of suspected Heroin today and booked under NDPS Act, informed Capital SP Tumme Amo.
Amo informed that “continuing its endeavor the Arunachal Pradesh Police’s Capital Unit arrested one drug peddler from Banderdewa area”.
He informed that “he alongwith ASP Capital visited Banderdewa Police Station on October 21 during Inner Line permit (ILP) checking and reviewed pending cases including the cases of drug trafficking near Banderdewa and accordingly sources were engaged.
He informed that “information was received from our sources that a drug peddler is conveying Narcotic Drugs in one motor cycle for supplying at Naharlagun area.
A team of police led by OC Banderdewa PS, SI RK Jha put ambush at Banderdewa gate. Motor Cycle rider identified as Marken Bagra, a native of Aalo, West Siang Dist was intercepted in the ambush.
He has been detained along with the motor Cycle. 40 Vials ( 52.25) grams suspected heroin, 2 Nos of Insulin syringes and one mobile handset have been recovered from his possession.
A case at Banderdewa Police Vide case No- 025/2019 U/S-21(b)/27 NDPS Act has been registered and investigation is being done to trace the source of drugs. This is the sixth successful catch at the Banderdewa during 2019. Amo added.
