Arunachal: HGB Tani Ngomle passes away
Tani Ngomle aged 72 was born on September 27, 1947, at Renyigii village under Gensi Circle of then West Siang District. He was elected as Zila Parishad Member of undivided Gensi-Likabali in the year 1980.

Head Goan Burah ( HGB ) Tani Ngomle of Hime Village also the founder member of the peace committee of Assam- Arunachal boundary in Kangku circle of Lower Siang district passed away at his native village on Thursday morning after prolonged illness at his native village.
Tani Ngomle aged 72 was born on September 27, 1947, at Renyigii village under Gensi Circle of then West Siang District. He was elected as Zila Parishad Member of undivided Gensi-Likabali in the year 1980. Further, he played a significant role in de-escalate and mediation between Assam and Arunachal Pradesh border tension in 1987, especially in Likabali area.
He was survived by four sons, two daughters and two wives.
Ngomle helped in founding the first peace committee amongst people of boundary areas of Assam and Arunachal in the year 1988 during skirmishes and had been promoting peace and communal harmony among the residents of boundary areas. He also held the Secretary-General post of the said committee.
Ngomle was also the President of the Gaon Burah Association of Kangku Circle to date.
Likabali MLA Kardo Nyikyor deeply condoled the demise of pioneer Goan Burah of the Kangku circle.
In his condolence message, local MLA said, “I am deeply shocked and saddened to that Tani Ngomle HGB of Hime Village and former Zila Parishad member of undivided Likabali-Gensi Anchal Samity passed away. His contribution to society is uncountable. Under his leadership many complicated issues like Assam boundary, local matrimonial case was settled.”
