Namsai district called land of Pegoda unfortunately the citizen here are factually struggling with dilapidated, water logging, potholes ridden road all around the township.

Number of roads to Forest Colony – resident to DC, SP, Joypur road towards Circuit House, old DC office road, Post Office and road to SE WRD office, Buddha Mandir road  and several lanes and By – lanes are in poor state of affair posing untold miseries to school goers, passerby, commuters, both four wheeler and Bike riders.

Moreover these rainy days, the situation becomes more serious when vehicles movements splatter dirty water to the commuters making them unfit to go beyond. Various roads seemed to be abode of mini ponds.

Road accident is more susceptible in this kind of tattered road. “Lots of road accident is also reported. Broken road together with mud have made our life dejected. The road is also neither widen, nor proper drainage nor footpath to walk.

He also deeply urges the concern leader to build quality road with proper footpath for the safety of the pedestrian.

When enquired about the status of funds and its renovation, K Manyu Assistant Engineer Headquarter informs about sanctioned of RCC road of 4 (four) Km, Paver road of 5 (five) Kilometers road  and phase wise of upgradation and improvement of road under various heads.  “Work is ready to be launched however constant monsoon rains foiled in our endeavor”, says the AE.

On 25 November 2014, the Namsai subdivision of Lohit district was declared to be new district of Arunachal Pradesh. The road was build but hardly lasted. Impression of the town is good infrastructures including better road, drainage and footpath well developed park and greenery but also these are desperately missing.

The township seriously in need of master plan with innovative vision and dream to make the district headquarter lively”, suggest another senior citizen in the state of anonymity.

Meanwhile, the Namsai is the hometown of Chowna Mein,  Dy CM and political stalwart of Arunachal, Chau Zingnoo Namshooom young & vibrant MLA representing 47th Namsai Assembly Constituency.
