Arunachal: Achom Degio gets selected for Indian Jr. Women’s National Football Team
Achom Degio of Arunachal got selected for Indian Jr. Women’s National Football Team for the upcoming SAFF U-18 Women’s Football Championship.

Minister Sports & Youth Affairs Dr Mohes Chai and Chairman Sports Authority of Arunachal Bamang Tago respectively has congratulated Miss Achom Degio for becoming the first Arunachalee U-19 Girls international footballer.
According to the reliable source, around 75 person in U-19 girls Indian footballer were indentified from national tournament being held at Goa, by All India Football Federation and same was placed under intensive coaching camp at Patiyala, Punjab to select the Indian team for further participation to South Asian football Championship to be held at Katmandu next.
20 (twenty players) including Achom Degio of Arunachal have been selected from the camp to represent India.
While extending best wishes, Dr Chai said, Achom becoming international player will definitely have huge impact and shall inspire to the youngster particularly to the women folk and congratulated Arunachal Football Association for producing Achom.
Achom Degio got selected in the final squad of Indian Jr. Women’s National Football Team for the upcoming SAFF U-18 Women’s Football Championship to be held in Thimphu, Bhutan from September 27th next.
