Week long 2nd inter state cultural exchange festival inaugurated here at the general field of Government Middle School at Hollongi by PWD Capital Division-A, Executive Engineer Tana Nikam Tara amid presence of huge gathering of locals leaders and villagers of both from Arunachal Pradesh and Assam side on Monday with theme ‘promote traditional and cultural identity’.
Addressing the function Nikam said that “it should be endeavour of the committee to continue the same every year so that the relationship among the people living on both side of the Arunachal-Assam boundary remain cordial with peace and tranquillity”.
He urge upon all to even go for matrimonial relationship which will strengthened ties between all communities residing in the area and there shall be no communal as well as any law and order problem.
While thanking the Global Human Right Organisation (GHRO) and committee members for best of luck at the same time he also appeal all to maintain peace and communal harmony and enjoy the diversified cultural event daily evening wherein all communities and tribes living in the area will perform their numbers with traditional attire.
GHRO President and Organising Committee Chairman Yowa Bullet said that all different tribes have been opportunity to perform their cultural event from Monday to Saturday.
There shall be traditional round and prizes have also been kept for them to motivate and encourage the cultural activities in the area. Several leaders of both side have been invited everyday to boost up the moral of the locals for a good relationship among each others.
Several food stalls and exhibition have been installed while traditional sporting activities would be carried by local participants of different communities.
