AIIMS honoured Helping Hands NGO for massive mobilisation of blood donation

Helping Hands Ngo along with four NGOs of Delhi ( Blood Connect, Bharat ke Mitra, Satya Sai Baba Seva Samaj and Sant Nirankar Mandal ) were chosen by India’s premier medical Institute – AIIMS for this year honour for mobilisation of blood for common people in Delhi.
Talking to Arunachal24 Robin Hibu, founder of Haelping Hand, informed that ” AIIMS Director Dr Randeep Guleria, in a ceremony in iconic hall of Dr Ramalinga swamy Hall honoured these five NGOs. Dr Sangeeta Chanu, Vice President, Helping Hands, Rebecca Rai, volunteer along with Robin Hibu received the honour.
Dr Randeep acknowledged deep appreciation to Helping Hands Ngo for massive mobilisation of blood donation for NE blood bank at AIIMS .
Dr Poonam Coshic, Hod of AIIMS Blood Bank Unit informed that now, no NE patients will die due to want of blood as NE blood bank has huge stock of blood donated by NE blood donors.
Dr Poonam also informed that on request of Helping Hands NGO, now onward the NE blood bank will give blood even without donor’s card on getting just SMS or WhatsApp from Helping Hands NGO.
Even NE students studying outside Delhi but passing through Delhi are now donating blood for NE blood Bank. So far, maximum donors are from Gorkhas, Manipuris, Arunachal, few from rest of NE states, even mainland donors are donating blood for our NE blood bank, informed Robin.
Latest initiative was blood donation camp at Rashtrapati Bhavan last week, where our President children donated blood, he informed.
Beside that on 23.6.18, Naga Student of Delhi along with Helping Hands NGO is organising massive blood donation camp at AIIMS, further Robin informed.
You can donate blood for NE blodd bank
If any one want to donate blood, then he or she Just drop in ( between 9 am to 4 pm from Monday to Friday ) at AIIMS Blood Bank Ward at Ground Floor, entry through gate 1 and 2, entry through emergency ward or right side exit, meet Mrs Anju Incharge of the blood donation centre or Dr Poonam Coshic Hod Blood bank.

Robin expressed deep gratitude to AIIMS Director, HODs, doctors and staff on the behalf of NE people for giving them an opportunity to start NE blood bank exempting preservation fee, all private hospitals in Delhi were asking Rs.2 lakhs 40 thousands as blood preservation cost per month.
