A prisoner at district Jail, Jully on Friday attacked and injured a Jail Warden. Capital police have registered a case and investigation launched.
when contacted Tumme Amo, SP Capital, informed that wife of a prisoner Techi Tater visited the Jail to meet him at Jail premise on Friday afternoon at around 1.30 PM.
After the meeting with his Wife, prisoner Tater while returning to the prisoner ward, when reached near the guard room situated adjacent to prisoner ward suddenly attacked on the Warden Kento Kato with a blunt weapon on his head several times.
Not only Tater alone , few more prisoner from the ward also join Tater and attacked assaulted to the Warden and injured him. The warden was evacuated to RK Mission Hospital for treatment.
A case have been registered at Itanagar police station vide case no-174/19 u/s-353, 326, 34 IPC after a written FIR was received and the matter is under investigation. Amo added.
