Itanagar: Capacity building programme for students concludes

Capacity building and sensitization of students on climate change and use of solar energy conducted at in around 22 schools of capital complex concluded today.

The Month long orientation programme of master trainers for students Solar Ambassador workshop and sensitization of students on climate change and use of solar energy conducted at in around 22 schools of capital complex concluded today.

Addressing the students of Government Higher Secondary School here today on the occasion of concluding function Arunachal Pradesh state council for science & Technology (APSCST) Director C D Munyak inform that it is an initiative that we should without depending on other energy resources we can tap the solar energy for all activities.

The first step is that we are imparting the students community and giving them training and knowhow to tap solar energy for educational purposes. We started in capital complex and so far covered 22 school have been covered while other 30 schools of various parts of state and mostly are VKV and government school and so far we have been able to trained around 4500 students across the state. The students have been guided to assemble local items/kits provided by the department  by which they prepare table lamp and can tap solar energy for reading purpose.

We have provided around 3500 such solar lamps to the trained students who will join the celebration of Gandhi global Solar Yatra (GGSY) to be celebrated across the world and we will celebrated it at IG Park. All these lamp will be lighten at IG Park on the occasion of the Gandhi Jayanti to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

Today is the concluding programme of the trainers for master trainers and those master trainer will trained other students to utilize solar energy in day to day life and activities.

Itanagar: Capacity building programme for students concludes

Main target is for capacity building and awareness among the students and is an imitative of IIT Bombay and is the 2nd edition.

Itanagar Science centre curator Dr. Vivek Kumar inform that around 150 students and master trainers get hands on assembling of solar lamp kit today. The other activities conducted are ideation and demonstration of robotics and artificial intelligence..

The programme is organised in the context to climate change non violence to environment and use solar energy to achieve energy self sufficiency. The orientation programme
