Itanagar: 72-hour dharna by Victim candidate of police compensate- second day 

It is to mention that around 325 candidates from 508 applicants has been selected while 183 candidates still remain and pray the authority for appointment as per seniority basis.

Total of 183 Victimised Candidates of Police Compassionate Ground started their 72-hour dharna here at Tennis court,  I G Park from Tuesday against the Police Department for irregularities in selection procedure to the post of police constable in recent declaration of results.

Earlier on October 9 the victimised candidates had protested at PHQ, Itanagar and  requested authorities to fulfil their grievances, otherwise they will go for indefinite democratic movement followed by hunger strike.

The victimised candidates demanding for re-selection procedure on the basis of seniority as per of submitted death certificate of legal heirs of deceased.

One Habung Uni, sister of a victim alleged that “the normal procedure in the police dept has not been maintained. My brother is in great stress and still waiting from the department”

another one Nampang said that “I have been waiting for job against my husband who died during discharge of his duty”.

Bamang Miji also a victim candidate said that “my mother has been trying since 2012 but till date there is no result, my family is big and no one is a earning member”

One Nido Tofan said that “both my father and mother were working in Police and there is no one to look after my brother. my father died in 2002 while mother died in 2011.  I am the eldest and younger brother burden on me and I have left up my education for them and hope that the police dept may feel  our pain”.

One Tasso Yami said that “myself and my son has been sitting on dharna since yesterday for justice. We have discussed with DGP recently but there is no solution and want justice from the authority”.
