Ex GPM, Nabam Tagap drowned in Papum river, body recovered

Ex Gram Panchayat Member ( Ex GPM ) Nabam Tagap  of Kanebung Village under Sangdupota Circle got missing yesterday suspected to be drowned in Papum river as informed by the Upper Balijan Zila Parishad member  Gollo Takam to arunachal24.in.  The body of Tagap have been retrieved in down stream near Boroighat under Behali Police station of Biswanath district of Assam .

 Tagap who was former Gram Panchayat Member of Kanebung Villager under Bassarnallo Circle went missing at around 3 PM when he went out of his resident for bathing and fishing. Lots of search was made but could not find at local label but in vain..

Takam said since then it was suspected that Tagap might be drowned and today the body of Tagap have been retrieved in down stream near Boroighat under Behali Police station of Biswanath district of Assam by the locals there today.

Takam said that Tagap was survive with two son and two daughter and appeal the state government for payment of compensation at the earliest.

Confirming the incident DC Papum Pare Tai Kaye said that EAC Sangdupota Nabam Tagik has alerted him early this morning about the incident and he is busy in search operation with the help of local police, SDRF and support of local with information to the downstream in Arunachal side as well Assam side and due to intensive search operation the body was retrieved today afternoon near Boroighat by the local there.

Kaye said on request the Behali Police after registration necessary entry have handed over the body which is being brought to Kanebung village in Sngdupota circle.

Further Takam also inform that the body of Late Tagap is being brought by the relative and last rite will be conducted tomorrow at around 11 AM at Kanebung village.

When contacted OC, PS Balijan B Krong said that on receipt of missing report today morning a search operation was initiated and after recover of the body under Behali PS in Assam side all formalities were done there and body was handed over to the relative after identification and formalities.

SP Papum Pare Tume Amo while said that constant contact was established with counterpart and requested to complete the formalities after a case of 174 crpc was registered there and body was handed over to the relative in presence of Arunachal Police Amo said.
