Assam: government officials are pillars of development- Governor B.D. Mishra

On his second day of his three-day district tour, the Governor of Arunachal Pradesh Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra (Retd.) reached Namsai on 9th February 2018.

Interaction with District Heads of Department, in DC’s conference hall, Namsai, the Governor said that the government officials are pillars of development. He advised them to set targets, be self motivated and take self action.

The Governor advised the officials to put in their best effort to ensure that benefits of the welfare schemes and programmes reaches to the targeted population. Assist the farmers to enhance the farm production, get good price and introduced best and new cash crops, he emphasised.

Reiterating his concern about drug addiction in the district, the Governor advised the officials to motivate the people to break the peer link as first step to fight against drug menace.

The Governor called for effective and optimum utilization of resources. Think and work positively for the welfare of the people and overall development of the State and Nation, he underscored.

State Deputy Chief Minister Shri Chowna Mein and Parliamentary Secretary Planning Shri C.Z. Namchoom were also present on the occasion.

The Deputy Chief Minister and the Deputy Commissioner briefed the Governor about the district.

Earlier on his arrival, the Governor and First Lady of the State were received by Shri C.Z. Namchoom, Parliamentary Secretary Planning, Shri R.K. Sharma and Senior Superintendent of Police, Shri C.K.Mein along with public leaders, Gaon Burahs and cultural troupes and accorded traditional reception.
