Arunachal: Tadar Anang received  National Grassroots innovator award

The award was given for his innovation “Smart google for blind” for which he have already won several state, national and other award from various organisation,

Young innovator of state Anang Tadar on Tuesday received National Grassroots innovator award  by President of India Ram Nath Kovind on the occasion of festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2019 at NIF complex, Grambharati, Amrabati, Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat.

The award was given for his innovation “Smart google for blind” for which he have already won several state, national and other award from various organisation, state and at national level in last two years and visited several parts of state, country and abroad for demonstration and display as a young invocator of Arunachal Pradesh.

Anang inform that the festival of Innovation and Entrepreneurship 2019 organised from 15 to 18 march 2019 and he is still there and participating national label exhibition which will conclude on March 18. The festival of Innovation is hosted by National Innovation Foundation (an autonomous body of Department of Science and Technology), govt of India.

The event was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind on 15 march.

Every year on this auspicious festival  the innovators from across the country come to exhibit their innovation. Farmers, student, indigenous skills, traditional knowledge, science, technology etc.

The festival of Innovation is organised every year in Rashtrapati bhawan New Delhi. but for the first time, this year it is being organised at NIF Head quarters in Gujarat.

There is also award ceremony on this festival given to the best innovators from across the country. This was the 10th National Grassroot Innovation Award. The award categories for National First, National Second, National third,  Consolation and Appreciation.

The national first and national Second are awarded by the president of India while Tadar Anang was honoured and  awarded by President Ram Nath Kovind as National First awardee wherein four person from Haryana, Maharastra and Tamil Nadu including Anang from Arunachal Pradesh was awarded.

Life time achievement award was given to Prakash Singh of Utter Pradesh for his improved plant verities. National second award was given to five person.

Anang thanks NIF India, Department of Science & Technology and State Council for Science & Technology, Arunachal Pradesh who have always  behind him and supporting his project all the way.

Tadar Anang of NIrjuli, Arunachal Pradesh has invented a unique pair of goggles that uses ultrasound and infrared sensors to help the visually impaired detect obstacles on their path.

He have also been awarded with Dinanath Pandey Smart Idea Innovation Award for inventing a gadget called Goggle for Blind (G4B).
