Arunachal : Mass Social Work at Innao

In view of the forthcoming 72nd Independence Day celebration an initiative of Government Higher School, Innao, Changlang district, a mass social work was conducted aligned with Swacch Bharat Mission (SBM) at Innao Bazaar line today.
The main objective of the mass social service was to clear the drainages, water logging, foliage and dirt for the hygienic and beautification of Innao market area. The clean drive began from 7 am to 10 am, with huge participation of 300 school students, Scout guide unit, NCC and Innao Market association along with school staffs.
The garbage was disposed at dumping pits at different locations made by the students and rest was put to fire. Cleaning gears bamboo brooms and garbage handcarts were provided by the GHSS Innao.
The one-day mass social service was conducted under the supervision of Innao, principal, Moli Tato, who visited all the vendors and shop owners; appealing them to install a self-made dustbin in front of the respective shops to prevent garbage littering in the market area as it blogs the drainage system, he added.
Further, he also stated that the 2018 year mark as ‘Year of Cleanliness’ with the success of SBM, cleanliness drive will continue to be conducted from time to time in the days to come.
Also participating on social service today, Diyun Extra Additional Commissioner, Jacob Tabing stressed on maintaining the cleanliness in the bazaar area and appealed all to not tolerate flouting of civic sense.
Innao Bazaar secretary, Innao Jowing Singpho also took part in cleaning assisted by other like-mind people.
