Arunachal: Alo Libang launches APNC’s official website

During the launching of official website of APNC, health minister Alo Libang appeal nursing community to join hands in improving the health delivery system.

“If we fail to provide good health service delivery system to a population like our state,  which is equal to a constituency of an MLA in other states, then it is our inadequacy, stated Alo Libang,  Minister Health & Family Welfare.

Libang, who launched the  official website of Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council (APNC)  and inauguration of Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programme on the topic “Prevention & Control of Hospital Associated Infection” today here at a city hotel in presence of Itanagar MLA Techi Kaso.

Underlining the pivotal role played by the nurses, Libang said without nurses health service delivery won’t be possible and called for cooperation from nursing fraternity in addressing the issues faced by them, adding that the state government under the leadership of Pema Khandu is giving education and health priority, he assured to work for the interest and welfare of nursing fraternity.

Further the Minister stressed on upgrading the service delivery and performances in already established hospitals, PHCs etc rather than constructing new ones and urged the nurses to put extra effort on health service delivery to all needy people.

Meanwhile local MLA Techi Kaso congratulating on launching of official website of APNC, said it will facilitate people with needful information and urged them to continue to serve the public with compassion. He further exhorted the nursing fraternity to discharge their duties responsibly by doing it whole heartedly.

While an overview of the Arunachal Pradesh Nursing Council; its status, works of APNC, man power requirement, major activities undertaken since 2012 etc were shown through power point by Deputy Director Nursing cum Registrar Kijum Karga. She also brought to the knowledge of minister on the need of infrastructure and creation of posts under APNC which will help department in smooth functioning.

Karga said now one can log in to website; apnc.nic.in and get any information related to nursing students, nurses, nursing institutes etc., said Karga.

Speaking about ‘Continuing nursing education’ (CNE), she said it is a step taken to upgrade the knowledge of trained nurses, those who are in service. She further informed that there will be ten batches consisting of thirty members per batch, who will be given training consecutively.

Earlier welcome address was given by Principal, Arunachal State Nursing School (ASNS) Naharlagun Boa Yania Taw, while Tutor, ASNS Ugu Libang Padi concluded the programme with vote of thanks.

Among others Arunachal unit Trained Nurse Association of India, president K T Yasung, Director of Health Services, Dr M Lego,  Additional SIO NIC Jyotish Roy, Gumri Ringu, president APWWS and host of dignitaries were present on the occasion.
