Arunachal: Mortal remain of Late Minoti Riba handed over to the TRIHMS authority
Late Minoti Riba was a former member of the Consumer Dispute Reddressal Committee and wife of Late Tomo Riba, former Chief Minister of the state.

Mortal remain of Late Minoti Riba handed over to the TRIHMS authority today in presence of huge gathering which include Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Arunachal Pradesh legislative Assembly Speaker P D Sona, several top officers and officials of state government, family members, relatives, well wishers and others.
Late Minoti Riba was a former member of the Consumer Dispute Reddressal Committee and wife of Late Tomo Riba, former Chief Minister of the state. Minoti Riba passed away on December 11 morning.
The news of her demise shocked not only to her family members, relatives and well wishers but for the people of the entire state. Thousand of people from various walk of life paid deep tribute the departed soul who was a inspiration for younger generation for various social works she did during her entire life.

She was also associated with Sammonoy Gut Cooperative Societies Ltd and was awarded best Co-Operator of Arunachal at the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Cooperative Movements in Arunachal Pradesh.
Governor Brig. (Dr.) B. D. Mishra (Retd.) condoled the demise of Riba. On Wednesday morning itself Governor accompanied by Commissioner to Governor RP Singh, Director General of Police and officials of Raj Bhavan, visited the bereaved family members at E Sector, Naharlagun resident and paid deep tribute.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu has joined the state in mourning the sad demise of Late Riba today visited the residence at E Sector residence and paid deep condolences with the bereaved family members and also paid tribute to the departed soul and pray for eternal peace of departed soul in heavenly abode.
Taking to media, Khandu said that Late Riba was a dedicated social worker, a caring mother, a woman of substance, who went on to become a member of many organisations like Assam Sahitya Sabha, Lekhika Smaroh Samiti apart from becoming the member of Consumer Dispute Reddressal Committee, Government of Arunachal Pradesh.
She was a first generation officer, who educated Arunachal about cooperative movement, Khandu said.
She is an inspiration for all, before her death she has already donated her full body for the cause of educational purpose for the students of Tomo Riba Institute of Health & Medical Science (TRIHMS) earlier General Hospital which was named after her husband and former Chief Minster Tomo Riba
Earlier on Wednesday Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and several bureaucrats and technocrats paid visit and paid tribute to the departed soul.
The Arunachal Pradesh Literary Society (APLS) led by President Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi also deeply mourned the passing away of Riba.
Arunachal Pradesh Women’s welfare Society (APWWS) led by President Gumri Ringu, Secretary General Kani Nada Maling has mourned the death of Minoti Riba.
Earlier in morning religious leaders from all religion had prayer for eternal peace of departed soul to rest in peace in heavenly abode. The prayer also recall the work done by Late Minoti in the service of mankind and several social works carried out by her which was remembered by all.
