The key focus of the programme was to familiarise farmers with the principles and benefits of Natural Farming, particularly the use of locally prepared biological inputs. Ms. Neelam Sunny, SMS (Agroforestry), KVK Dibang Valley, sensitised participants on indigenous bio-inputs including Beejamrit and Jeevamrit, which were presented as tools for improving soil health and reducing dependence on external agricultural inputs.

A major component of the initiative is the proposed establishment of a Bhartiya Prakritik Bio-input Resource Centre (BRC) at the Gipulin Cluster. The need-based centre will be established under the National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) and is intended to facilitate the local production and supply of bio-inputs.

The proposed resource centre could be particularly useful for farmers who may not have the capacity or resources to prepare bio-inputs individually. By making such inputs available locally, the initiative seeks to make the transition towards Natural Farming more accessible to the farming community.

The programme therefore goes beyond awareness generation, combining farmer orientation with a proposed local support mechanism for bio-input availability. The initiative is aimed at encouraging farming practices centred on healthier soils, resilient agricultural systems and sustainable livelihoods in Dibang Valley.
