Idols of Goddess Durga vandalizing case: Fourth alleged accused arrested

Chiram said that there was a written complain received and a case was registered at Doimukh Police station case No-63/19 u/s- 448, 427, 295, 34 IPC.

Fourth alleged accused in the Goddess Durga Idol vandalizing case arrested on Monday. Said Papum Pare SP Jimmy Chiram.

SP Chiram inform that all four alleged accused involved in vandalizing of Several idols in  Durga Mandap (Pandal) no 2 of Doimukh on intervening night of October 5 and 6 has been arrested alogwith their escaped vehicle Tata Tiago.

Chiram said that there was a written complain received and a case was registered at Doimukh Police station case No-63/19 u/s- 448, 427, 295, 34 IPC.

All the accused are under police custody and further investigation is on and law will take its own course of action.

DGP , Arunachal Pradesh, also informed in his twitter handle that ” 4 accused persons arrested and now in police custody. It was a case of drunken misbehaviour , no communal angle found in the incident.

It was not the incident fixed targeting to the vandalizing of idols but was related to some personal issue and other issue and the miscreants have committed the crime.

It is to mentioned that even after the incident the Puja committee and Market welfare committee made alternate arrangement the celebration continued and completed smoothly.
