Itanagar: IMC Planned various activities for World Toilet Day
Various activities will be organised by IMC as a part of World Toilet Day , informed DC Capital Complex.

The Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Prince Dhawan informed that the Itanagar Municipal Council is organizing various community mobilization events to mark the World Toilet day on 19th November’2018.
Events like the Door to door household outreach by Self-help groups & NGOs will culminate on 19th November, 2018.
The IMC will also organise awareness drive through a ‘Shramdaan’ rally at Naharlagun on 19th November.
Various essay writing competitions, wall painting events etc will also be organised for the students of schools and colleges on the day.
Outreach to local community will also be done through social media where citizens can vote for best performing Sanitation workers.
The United Nation observes world toilet day on 19th November each year. This year’s theme is ‘When Nature Calls’. It focuses on compost latrines to treat human waste and human made wetlands to treat waste water.
