Four lane Highway Project- Eviction process starts from Chandranagar

The District Administration Capital Complex has put its first step forward to fulfill the long pending desire of the Capital Complex to have a Four lane Highway with the team consisting of officials from District Administration as well the PWD, the Police and other line departments starting with the eviction of the structures within RoW of NH-415 of Chandranagar area today.
Despite unexpected rainfall, it could not deter the spirit of the officials in carrying out the eviction process. The demolition schedule for the proposed 4 laning of Highway from Papunallah to Chandranagar is expected to be completed by 2nd week of September.
It would be a significant moment in the history of Capital Complex to see the project being implemented, termed the Deputy Commissioner Itanagar Capital Complex Shri Prince Dhawan IAS and sought the cooperation of the residents of Capital Complex in successfully executing the project.
Terming everyone as a stakeholder, the DC expressed gratitude to the residents of the Capital Complex for cooperating with the District Administration and carrying out self demolition. The DC further informed that two teams have been formed headed by Administrative Officers EAC Itanagar Jiken Bomjen EAC Naharlagun Hento Karga EAC(LM) Liken Koyu and EAC ICC Tame Yajum to carry out demolition of the left hand side and the right hand side of the NH-415.
The DC further informed that all precautionary steps have been taken prior to starting of the process so that the eviction process is carried out smoothly. Many orders have also been issued in this regard. The DC further informed that the issue of relocation of vendors falling within Row has also been resolved by notifying a new temporary vending zone.
This issue was resolved with the help of transport federation and the DC also thanked them for their contribution towards 4 Lanning of Highway.
As a preventive measure, the DC also held a series of meetings earlier where he directed the concerned departments like BSNL/power/PHED etc to shift their utilities, Department of Power to shut down/cut off power line during demolition of structures etc. The DC hoped that the residents of Capital Complex would continue to provide their support till the completion of the Highway.
