Arunachal: SSB Celebrates Kargil Vijay Diwas at Dirang
During the programme 30th Bn SSB distributed Solar Street Light to Dhunduri and Dhirmi Village, Sports and Hygiene & sanitation items to five Schools of Dirang Circle under Civic Action Programme.

The 30th Bn of SSB, celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas by organising Samajik Chetana Abhiyan under it’s Civic Action initiatives at Dirang, west Kameng District Arunachal Pradesh. The programme was inaugurated by Col. Sarfraz Singh, Director NIMAS, Dirang as a Chief guest and Mr. Nawang Thupten, Circle Officer, Dirang also grace the occasion as a guest of honour.

Unit celebrated the the “Kargil Vijay Diwas” from 20 July to 27th July, 2019. On the occasion The SSB Unit paid tribute to the Martyrs who have lost their lives in Kargil War. A debate and painting competition on the theme of Kargil War was organized in different Schools. Medical and Veterinary Civic action programme was also part of Samajik Chetana Abhiyan conducted by 30th Bn SSB at remote bordering villages situated in Dirang and Thembang circle.
Apart from above, A mass awareness rally was also conducted in co-ordination with various school on the occasion of Kargil Vijay diwas.
The function was attended by Dr. P. M. Kabui, (Commandant Medical, 30th Bn), and troops of 30th Bn SSB with their officers present in the programme. GBs of Village of Dirang and Thembang Circle along with Ex-Service Men , local villagers and school students of different School were also present.
