The moment Chief Minister, Pema Khandu formed the Govt in the State, we have formed the Staff Selection Committee and made the appointment of JEs, JTs and recruitment of all Group A & B officers to be made through Arunachal Pradesh Public Service Commission for transparency and for enabling the deserving candidates get selected as per merit.
He said, “It is the age of competition and nothing can be achieved without hard work”. He added that we must inculcate a sense of competition amongst the young generations.
He said that we are planning to bring reforms in the planning process and requested everybody to cooperate in the process.
He added that State Govt had decided to do away with SIDF & SADA, however, there will be Annual Operating Plan by the departments. He asked the departments to prepare Short term (annual) and long term (five year) perspective development plans. And to initiate the development process from the grass roots level and for equitable development, the respective Deputy Commissioners were asked to finalise the schemes in consultations with the Public Representatives in the districts and forward the schemes to the State Govt in priority.
Mein called upon the Govt officers and officials to perform their duties sincerely.
The heads of various departments presented reports on the progress of the works under central and state flagship programmes and highlighted proposals for the 2019-20 annual plans during the meeting.
Mein also launched the mobile app “Yathasarvam” developed by Eckovation and is enabled by adaptive learning technique. This app is one stop solutions to ensure quality education for the students and improve the reach and quality of education to the students through integration of technology with focus on ensuring continuous monitoring and accountability.
Earlier, Mein had also flagged off 8 vehicles under Transformation & Innovation for Food & nutrition In Schools (TIFINS) from Mini Secretariat. It is a new concept of providing Mid-Day Meal from a centralized cluster kitchen covering 7 to 14 schools. The vehicles are provided by the Oil India Limited Dulijan Assam under corporate social responsibility program.
