Aalo police arrested a man for allegedly raping a minor girl over a period of several months.

The Aalo Police has arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly raping a minor girl in the Aalo town in West Siang district.
The accused person, identified as Liku Dolley, had allegedly repeatedly raped the minor girl over the period of last five months in a Govt quarter where the girl stays, in absence of family members.
Dolley, the branch manager of Sriram Life Insurance Company at Aalo, was roaming in the residential areas searching customers for enrolment in the insurance scheme and in the process he came across the girl and raped her repeatedly in the absence of family members.
Police has arrested Dolley on Sunday last on the basis of an FIR lodged at the Aalo police station.
A case has been registered against him under section 376(2) (i) of Indian Penal Code read with section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, informed West Siang SP.
Meanwhile, the West Siang unit of Arunachal Pradesh Women’s Welfare Society (APWWS) has vehemently condemned the incident.
Society appealed the district administration and police not to release the accused on bail and give him stringent punishment as per relevant sections of law so that such crime against women and children do not recur.
