Arunachal: LPF organised free dental checkup camp at Kugi Tago Panchayat

Joining the nation with “Give back to Society” an NGO Likha Pon Foundation (LPF ) organised a free dental check up and awareness camp at Govt. Residential middle school Kugi Tago under Deed circle, lower subansiri district of Arunachal Pradesh.
The camp was initiated with Floral tribute to late Likha Pon, who was the founder member and pioneer member of govt. Residential middle school kugi Tago, Erstwhile known as govt. Primary school kugi Tago, followed by dental awareness talk, educating students about common dental ailments especially stressing on tooth decay and gum disease and measure to prevent from them.
On completion of the camp, Dr. Thongon Panye informed that out of 60 patient examine most of them are found to have rampant caries.
At the end, LPF gave away Toothpaste with brush, stationeries and rice to students. chairmen SMC Likha Tanggam expressed his gratitude to member of LPF for organizing such programs at school.
Dr. Likha Eichir, an Alumni of the said school expresses her concern over rising environmental issues and comment that LPF will also take up environmental education programme in days to come.
Programme was chaired by senior member of the area, HGB, public SMC, school staff and students.
On this occasion an Awareness Camp on Preservation of Indigenous Buya that is very much a part of Nyishi Custom and Culture performed during marriages, religious rites and house openings, was also conducted.
It is to be known that Kugi-Tago Panchayat is one of the remotest Panchayat of entire Lower Subansiri district and the village Miya- the headquarters of Likha Pon Foundation (LPF) is the last village of the said Panchayat and is surrounded by scenic rolling hills and mountain ranges.

The LIKHA PON FOUNDATION (LPF) is a Non Governmental Organization(NGO) who’s headquarters is based at the picturesque and besides the lush green hills at Miya village in the Kugi-Tago Panchayat, Deed circle of Lower Subansiri district.
The LPF formally came into being in the year 2014. And this year is the fifth birthday of LPF and since its inception the LPF has been celebrating its foundation day on 7th November of every year with all diligence and enthusiasm.
