It is to mentioned that the affordable housing complex began in 2011 when the government of Arunachal Pradesh created a scheme wherein the interested people can book flats for their resident in capital complex at a place with all facilities and amenities.
The work was allotted to Ishbakoo India Private Limited, New Delhi the actually work of constructions began in 2011 and an agreement was signed between the state government led by Secretary Housing wherein it was stated that the state government were ask to do the marketing works while the company will construct 3000 flats in Paga tara area of Jullang, but only 114 buyers turned up and book the flats.
After booking the work started on November 2011. But the builder abruptly stopped the work in May 2014 without completing a single flat. However a total 28 flats were partially completed the sources said.
It is also mentioned that several litigation are pending in the court of law in the matter. the sources added.
Urban Development Secretary S K Jain when asked about the status said that a high level meeting have been convened on Sept 26 and we are also working in it and the issue was discussed for a solution.
Director Housing Techi Gubin while inform that buyers deposit around 3.6 crore but if the interest is calculated it may be above 6 crore, the court have directed to pay back the money of the buyers with a 14 % interest, the meeting discussed all proc and cons of the project and issue relating to payment of buyers and other issue pertaining to project and court direction.
