Arunachal : Capital police arrested 5 persons in connection with ATM robbery

The Capital police of Arunachal Pradesh here have arrested five persons in connection with the ATM robbery case involving Rs 50 lakh, out of which Rs 13 lakh recovered which had been kept with the accused in Assam.
According to the Capital police, “A police team led by SI K Dev, under the supervision of Naharlagun PS OC N Riba, Naharlagun SDPO M Bui and Capital Complex SP Sagar Singh Kalsi, analyzed the documents pertaining to the crime,’ a release from the police department stated on Thursday”.
The team arrested Bultan Boruah, Nabakrishna Gogoi and Indrajit Barhoi from Assam. ‘The three were the custodians of the ATMs in the township area and were responsible for loading cash into the ATMs,’ it said.

The police team also arrested one Sultan-Al-Mahmud and Porakmoni Das, AGM and assistant manager of Guwahati-based Radiant Cash Management Services, in connection with the case.
A case has been registered at the Naharlagun police station after an FIR was lodged by one Nazirul Islam, ‘risk manager’ of Radiant Cash Management Services, ‘for misappropriation of cash to the tune of Rs 50 lakh from different SBI ATMs in Naharlagun area,’ the police said.
