Arunachal: Boori Boot Yullo festival begins

The 52nd Boori Booth Yullo festival of Nyishi tribe today began with traditional fervour and gaiety.
Nyishi Festival Celebration (NFC) committee Secretary Bengia Amit inaugurated the festival as chief guest while Social worker Longku Tania as Guest of honour respectively.
Both chief guest and guest of honour expressed the happiness on the occasion and greeted the people for showing enthusiasm with traditional attire.
The dignitaries emphasis on preservation of traditional value and rich cultural heritage. They also stressed the need of using the local items at home and other places so that the local indigenous items also protected.
Chief guest urge upon all to maintain communal harmony while guest of honour appeal all to come forward for the celebration of all festival of all tribes which can strengthened the communal harmony with brotherhood through culture.
Chief guest Bengia Amit later inaugurated several food stalls installed by the committee of various tribes of state at the festival celebration ground which shall continue and the final celebration on February 6.
