Arunachal: Drug peddler nabbed with brown sugar in Khonsa

Khonsa police has arrested one drug peddler and recovered 6.34 gms suspected brow sugar from his possession. 



Khonsa police a on Sunday evening arrested  a drug peddler from Pinewood Colony here in Tirap district and recovered approximately 6.34 gms of suspected brown sugar from the house of the alleged accused during a raid conducted in the presence of Town Magistrate Lim Modi and Khonsa PS OC, Inspector T Wangpan.

The arrested drug peddler identified as Chetry.

Based on a input regarding the peddling of drugs by one chetry from his dwelling house, a police team from PS khonsa, led by SI B. Mossang cordoned the house of suspect accused alias chetry.

The team recovered approx 6.34 grms of suspected brown sugar from the house of accused Chetry in presence of magistrate.

The police have launched further investigation after registering a case under the NDPS Act against Chetry at the police station.

in an another case an NSCN (R) insurgent, identified as self-styled sergeant major Bablu Debnath @ Kalu (27), was nabbed from Kekon village during a joint operation conducted by the security forces and the state police on 13 September. Among other things, a .32 mm England made pistol was seized from the operative.
