Arunachal: Admin sealed the Tata Sumo taxi counters in Aalo

The decision was taken in view of the mushrooming Tata Sumo counters creating traffic congestion in the township areas.

The West Siang district administration has sealed the Tata Sumo taxi counters here in Aalo because of the taxi operators’ failure to shift the counters to the designated area near the state transport cooperative services.

The decision was taken in view of the mushrooming Tata Sumo counters creating traffic congestion in the township areas.

The second round of sealing will be carried out if the order continues to be defied. Public toilets and resting places are mandatory and requisite criteria to obtain licences for passengers’ counters, as per the laid down rules, in all town and cities.

The sealing was carried out by EAC Lijum Ete, District Tourism Officer Hummo Taipodia and the OC of the police station here.

  1. I know it’s may not be a right place to express that It’s time to remove ILP at least for indian people not only in arunachal but also in other states. Media should understand that restrictions imposed times back proving hurdles in linking and conneting people. How can united india be possible when special saparists indicative rules exists. Media must raise voice from whole NE.

  2. we,the tribal people of arunachal does not want outsiders to encroach our land.ILP provides the mechanism to do this…Our tribal population is very few and there is danger of cultural loss which is already taking place. the government of india should further restricate movement of outsiders to arunachal to safeguard the culture and people. im not againsts development but the tribal people’s sentiments should be heard.
