A mentally retarded person with weapon are roaming to kill someone is circulated in social media is a FAKE NEWS, do not believe on it, said Vikas Kumar, SP East Kameng.
SP inform that Police team are in search of accused of Sunday’s incident wherein one person succumbed to injuries and two have been injured. The news of school going children being victims is false, SP added.
He said that one person died and 2 persons have been injured on July 14 evening in Boso Colony. The accused’s family is also assisting the police. The accused is said to be mentally unstable. Do not rely on fake news circulating in social media. His photo has been widely circulated and the public has been requested to inform Police immediately in case he is seen anywhere. Dedicated police teams was constituted and are searching him. He said.

The deceased was identified as Sunday Singhi, was stabbed to death and two others were grievously injured. The both injured youths are currently under medical treatment.
The accused has been identified as Tapung Waii aged around 60 years and currently absconding. after registering a case of murder the police is in search of the accused and we are hopeful that he may be caught soon. SP added.
