TCYA alleges misuse of fund under Taraso Circle

Taraso Circle Youth Association (TCYA) allege misuse of fund under TFC for the year 2015-17 for construction of forest patrolling road from Balaja to Deldal Milde from Ramghat to Disha Nalla-28.4 KM under Taraso Circle.
In a complaint submitted to the Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare district today, the organisation alleged that the DFO concerned didn’t publish NIT for the said work and it was allotted to a firm which is totally against the guidelines of the said work and without carrying any actual work the firm has already drawn sum of Rupees 1 crore.
In an another complaint in regards to construction of individual household latrine under Swachh Bharat Mission (Gramin) 2015-17 under Taraso Circle pertaining to PHED Yupia Division.
The complaint allege that as per documents obtained through RTI does not match the beneficiaries list and some of beneficiaries have been cheated during payment, where many beneficiaries were not been allotted the work but department have already withdrawn the amount
Further the organisation demanded immediate constitution of an investigation Committee to unearth truth so as necessary action is being initiated action against the erring official and also demanded for blacklisting of the said firm within ten days. They further threatened to take up the issue with the higher authority or initiate democratic movement.
Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner Papum Pare district Tai Kaye directed Additional Deputy Commissioner Balijan for verification and investigation and to take necessary action in case construction of forest patrolling road and Executive Engineer PHED, Yupia Division individual household latrine construction of Taraso Circle.
