Arunachal Civil Society (ACS) took out a peace march condemning the brutal killing of Tirong Aboh and 10 other in an ambush on 21 May last at Tirap District. The rally started from Akashdeep and culminated at IG Park.
Articulating it to be a “Political murder”, Patey Tayum, ACS Chairperson revealed that earlier Tirong Aboh lodged an FIR at Khonsa Police Station seeking police protection.
“In the FIR Aboh stated that his life was under threat as an unknown element is threatening him with dire consequences yet no action was taken. The government knew everything yet they failed to facilitate late Aboh with Z Security,” alleged Tayum.
Informing that the society had gone to the Governor to submit memorandum, he said that the Governor B D Mishra has given appointment on June 3 next to discuss the matter and to find out proper solution.
“Such brutal killing must be stopped once and for all. We are hopeful for better resolution,” he added.
He further appealed the state government to take up the issue in the first cabinet meeting to deliver justice to Late Tirong Aboh and others and feared that the state’s scenario will be worst than PRC issue.
