There is lacuna in Indian education system, we have to included more information about our country’s history in the syllabus of Indian education system, said Tathagata Ray the Governor of Meghalaya, while addressing the valedictory programs of two days Symposium on the Arunachal Pradesh: Known to Unknown here at Art of Living Jollang Itanagar, organised by Intellectual forum of North East.
Attending as chief guest of the valedictory functions, Ray said that due to lacuna of education system many mainland people yet to know about the Arunachal Pradesh, even they did not know where Arunachal Pradesh is located. Because the education system of India was structured by the British and they did not given full information about the India.
The British always played dived and rule policy in India and their motive is not to know the one parts of Indian people to other parts of people of their own country, so the some parts of Indian people yet to know the few parts on Indian state. But now we have to need modification of this education structure of India.
Highlighting spend his time in different parts of Arunachal Pradesh, Ray appreciated the natural beauties of Arunachal Pradesh and advice the State Government and people of State to use the god gifted natural beauty of State by make Arunachal Pradesh as tourist destination by promoting tourism. When tourist flow start, then the State will change. he also suggested the State government to restore the Steel well road of Changalang for tourism purpose.
He stated that although Arunachal Pradesh is naturally beauty but the town of Arunachal Pradesh is very dirty, people of capital is no civic sense, there is lots of place throw their garbage’s but they making dirty the beautiful river by throwing garbage in to the river especially in capital complex he added.
Attending special guest in the programme, Jishnu dev Varma , Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura, Highlighted the Nationalism of Indian Civilization and said Indian civilization was not in jingoistic Civilization so there is no any history like jihads and Crusade in our Indian Civilization. Indian Civilization followed the non violence civilization.
Union Minister fore Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju in his Keynote speech on cultural Ethos of Arunachal Pradesh. He said that the minds of Arunachalees are diluting in to western culture and losing our own tradition culture and identity . Though we can learn other language and culture by following the modern culture but adopting western culture by avoid own culture is very serious issue and it will very dangerous for our future generation especially in Arunachal Pradesh . Because our tradition and culture is our Identity, we have to proud for our own identity.
The western education system is also another reason for the diluting our mind because Indian education, Indian ethos were not properly included in education system of India but since child hood our children following western education system after independent.
Stating India’s Culture, Civilization and India’s thought is superior in the world because western philosophical thought is on superficial and Indian Philosophical thought is in deep.
