Itanagar: NHRC team visits OWA
A team of NHRC, New Delhi headed by Dr. Ashok Sahu visited OWA to collect first hand information on Child Labour.

A team of National Human Rights Commission, New Delhi headed by Dr. Ashok Sahu, accompanied by Labour Officer (HQ) Gyammar Tajik and officials from the Department of Labour Commission, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh on his official tour to Arunachal Pradesh paid a field visit to collect first hand information specifically on Child Labour, Bonded Labour at Oju Welfare Association (OWA), Naharlagun.
The team interacted with the inmates of Swadhar Greh, Specialised Adoption Agency (SAA), Children Home, Women Helpline, legal Aid Clinic and also visited several vocational training centre.
Dr. Ashok Sahu after his visit was very impressed and commented that he had never seen such an integrated complex with multiple facilities under one roof.
He further appreciated Smt. Ratan Anya, Chairperson, OWA for rendering such an yeoman service to the society.
