Itanagar-Capital Complex Deputy Commissioner Prince Dhawan has directed traffic officials to keep a check on traffic violators, with strict instructions that “at no cost two-way movement should be allowed at one-way traffic”.
Stressing on maintaining one-way traffic rules by traffic officials and wardens, the DC asked SP Capital N Harsha Vardhan to deploy additional forces wherever required.

He urged the traffic police to work without fear on the spot and check such defaulters and strict action to be taken as per law. He also stressed that traffic wardens should be on duty all days of the week.
The deputy commissioner stressed that parking and no-parking zones have already been notified, which requires strict compliance and asked all the traffic officers and officials to implement the same strictly.
The DC also directed that heavy vehicles shall not be allowed to enter the Capital Complex during peak hours (7 am to 9 pm).
He directed the OC traffic of Itanagar and Naharlagun to not allow intercity buses at any cost, the same should be diverted through the papu-nallah- Jullang- Chimpu road and vice-versa.
Further, no buses would be allowed to park at the NH-415 opposite the clock tower in Ganga.
He also informed that executive magistrates will conduct an exercise, along with OC Traffic, Itanagar and Naharlagun once a week to check the follow-up of traffic rules.
