2nd Battalion of NCC is almost ready and around 80 % works have been completed- Col. R K Sharma, NCC Commander .

NCC Commander Col. R K Sharma today appeal the cadets to maintain discipline with a motive to become a fine gentleman and serve the society with patriotism in mind.
Col. Sharma, Commanding Officer of 1 Arunachal NCC Battalion while addressing more than 400 cadets who were on Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) at Rajiv Gandhi Government Polytechnic Institute here which is underway from October 13 to 22. He said that the main motto of the NCC is character building with patriotism feeling, self defence and discipline in life.
He said that be polite and humble to other so as to reciprocate, be sincere toward your profession and respect other to get respect. If you want to achieve a goal you need to be a sincere and hardworking with discipline. While discharging the responsibility one should have a good health and sound mind, to remain fit and fine one should do daily exercise and maintain cleanliness in the sounding to avoid any communicable disease. He also appeal to remain away from clutch of drug.
While talking to media, Col. Sharma said that 2nd Battalion of NCC is almost ready and around 80 % works have been completed, the process of having another battalion of NCC is only possible due to initiative of the Chief Minister and Governor and thanks their active support in the matter.
He said that at present around 2200 cadets are in the 1st battalion and after the establishment of 2nd battalion more scope for the students would be available to join the part of defence of the nation through self defence and nation building.
Dy. camp commander Lt.col. Anup Awasthi, camp adjutant cum Training officer lieutenant Palvinder Singh among other also address the students and cadets during the weapon display which was organised by the ITBP in the campus on the occasion.
