DC Review National Optical Fibre Network Project

Deputy Commissioner Isha Khosla reviewed the ongoing National Optical Fibre Network (NOFN) project with the RailTel engineers. She while chairing the second coordination meeting on Monday in the Siang Hall has said that the project would connect nation-wide broadband network, marching towards ambitious vision of Digital India.

USOF project will connect the state’s capital to the district headquarter and then to the block level government offices on the other hand NOFN project will connect all gram-panchayats.

Khosla advised the executing agency, RailTel Corporation of India to expedite the works and to ensure quality works in a time bound manner. The DC urged all the local head of engineering departments to extend their cooperation to RailTel for smooth completion of the project.

Earlier, Er. Yashwant Kumar (AE), RailTel updated the DC about the progress of the project(s) through PPP. He assured to make LIVE/operational Pasighat DC’s office and Yagrung CO’s office within January and offices of ADC Ruksin, ADC Mebo, CO Bilat and CO Sille-Oyan at the end of March, 2017.

Meanwhile, initiated by DC Khosla, a rooftop Solar Plant was successfully installed in the Jan Shuvidha Kendra to provide uninterrupted services to the people.
