BSF Apprehends Cattle Smugglers in Dhubri and Coochbehar

Troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force ( BSF ) and Police apprehended Five Indian cattle smugglers from Jordanga area in Dhubri while Four cattle smugglers from Singimari area of Coochbehar. The joint operation was launched on Saturday morning at Jordanga under distt Dhubri, Assam. During the operation the party apprehended Five Indian cattle smugglers along with 13 cattle heads valued at Rs. 57,900/-.
In another operation on Friday morning a search operation was carried out by the BSF troops of Singimari BOP. During search, troops apprehended Four Indian cattle smugglers. All above apprehended cattle smugglers along with the seized cattle hrads were handed over to the concerned police stations in Dhubri and Falakata (West Bengal) respectively. BSF troops are always alert to the issues of trans-border crimes and illegal infiltration and are making all out efforts to prevent commission such crimes.
BSF Nabs Indian Liquor Smuggler and Cattle Laden Truck from Meghalaya
The BSF troops deployed at Purakhasiain West GaroHills distt of Meghalaya, saw some suspicious movement near International Border, party rushed towards the point and apprehended one Indian liquor smuggler with 36 Btls of liquor while he was trying to ex filtrate into Bangladesh.
In another incident, the BSF troops once again seized 17Nos Cattle laden in atruck from the bordering area of Chiringiri, South Garo Hills Distt of Meghalaya while being smuggled into Bangladesh from India.The BSF troops also seized 12 Nos cattle from the area of Baldamgiri, West Garo Hills and Kasinda, East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya.Despite the BSF troops incessantly seizing the cattle on International Border the smugglers putting frequent attempts to smuggle cattle for the greed of swelled profit.Smugglers are using different disguised techniques to smuggle the cattle from India to Bangladesh but well trained BSF troops are alert to foil such attempts.The Border Security Force is keeping an effective surveillance to foil any ill design of smugglers and other anti national elements at international border.Apprehended person and seized items have been handed over to concerned department for further disposal and legal action as per law of the land.
