Bogibeel Rail cum Road Bridge Model attracted to the visitor in “Destination Northeast – 2016”



The Model of Bogibeel Rail cum Road Bridge is one of the attraction of the visitor, in the recently concluded exhibition “Destination Northeast – 2016”, organized by the Ministry of DONER, Government of India at New Delhi. This was informed by NFR  officials.

In the exhibition N.F.Railway also displayed models of the ongoing Bogibeel Rail cum Road Bridge (4.94 KM) which will be longest Rail cum Road Bridge once completed. A model of ongoing Jiribam – Tupul – Imphal new line project of 111 KM length displaying all topographical features was also included.

The model showed the girder bridge at Noney with pier height of 141 mt which when completed will be the tallest in the world. Both the models drew wide appreciation from the visitors from all over India and abroad who expressed satisfaction at the good work being done by Northeast Frontier Railway for achieving connectivity to all Northeastern state capitals by 2020. Model of locomotives plying in Darjeeling Himalayan Railway apart from various informative items and displays on various projects were also displayed.
