Arunachal: Tawang Badminton Team flagged off for 11th Greater Kameng badminton Championship
TAWANG- The Deputy Commissioner, Tawang Kanki Darang and Secretary General, Monpa Mimang Tsogpa (MMT) Namgey Tsering jointly flagged off the players of Tawang badminton association for participation in the 11th Greater Kameng badminton Championship to be held in Seijosa.
The flagging off programme was done from DC office premises in which Addl.DC incharge Rinchin leta, President MMT Tawang unit Pema Chowang and other officers were also present.
Before flagging off, addressing the players Secretary General MMT Namgey Tsering advised the players to be disciplined and participate in the tournament with sportsmen spirit.
He said that one should try to win the game as well as others heart by showing discipline and good behaviour.
DC Kanki Darang said that he was into football and played upto national level,he used to play badminton during his school days and was a champion in his school.
He lauded the standard of game and players in Tawang and expressed his hope that Tawang will regain its championship in greater kameng tournament this time.
Participation is important but at the same time the players should put more efforts and try to win the game he added.
The executive member of Tawang badminton association Dr. Rinchin Neema expressed his gratitude to DC Tawang and Secretary General MMT for taking out time from their busy schedule to flagg off the players for the tournament. He presented the jersey of TBA to DC, Secy General MMT and other guests.
