Arunachal: Police personnel should work without stress- DGP

Police personnel should work freely without stress with healthy body and sound mind. Said Arunachal Pradesh DGP, S.B. K Singh.
DGP SBK Singh was taking to media on ‘Chaye pe charcha’ at the conference Hall of the PHQ today wherein high ranking police officers were also present.
Singh said that the Arunachal Pradesh Police have been observing wellness month which began on May 21 and would be culminated on June 21 on the eve of the International Yoga Day (IYD).
A total of 30 numbers of trainers were trained who have been send to various parts of the district to trained police personnel there who would feel happy to learn there itself and would maintained in their day life and got the benefit.
While adding the activities of the wellness month observed by the state Police Singh said that In the past month, APP organized free yoga practice sessions, health check-up camps, plantation drives, family fitness sessions and body conditioning and strengthening exercises’ train-the-trainer sessions for families of police officers and dignitaries across all 23 districts of Arunachal Pradesh.
During the month long checkup it have been observed that few police persons have developed diabetic, High blood pressure (HBP) and Low blood pressure (LBP) which is not at all well for police to work and it can only be reduced after the personnel go for exercise and Yoga. We are concerned for that and appeal all personnel and their family members to go for daily exercise for fitness all the time.
Chief Minister Pema Khandu delivered a message commending the month-long effort which helps increase the fitness quotient and wellbeing of police officers and families, leading to a healthier Arunachal Pradesh. Singh said.
He reiterated that it is important for police and other forces to safeguard the interests of their community as well as make themselves aware of how to bring their best selves when serving citizens by balancing inner and outer wellbeing.
APP in association with Arunachal Pradesh Police Welfare Society (APPWS) have also organized train-the-trainer, family fitness and capacity building programs to develop master trainers as part of the Wellness Month. This effort of APP to create a legacy of yearly awareness drives with tangible impact is a welcome sign for the sustained wellbeing of Arunachal Pradesh
He said Arunachal Pradesh Police is celebrating International Day of Yoga 2018 on June 21 at Chimpu Ground, Itanagar.
